Cross-border financing practice: the experience of AKTAWA in Hong Kong

As part of the development of international B2B cooperation and the formation of sustainable financial mechanisms to support cross-border trade, the AKTAWA team visited Hong Kong, one of the world's key financial centers and an important hub for international trade and investment flows.

The purpose of the visit went beyond formal protocol meetings. The main focus was on a practical analysis of the capabilities of Hong Kong's financial infrastructure and its integration into Russian-Chinese trade chains, from financing transactions and settlement mechanisms to comprehensive support for foreign economic activity.

Dialogue with financial and investment institutions

During the visit, the AKTAWA team held a number of working meetings with representatives of companies and organizations specializing in:

  • trade and project financing,
  • international settlements and payment infrastructure,
  • investment and financial services for B2B transactions.

The discussions focused on business applications: access to finance, reduction of currency and operational risks, as well as the role of financial intermediaries in the context of the transformation of the global economic system.

Hong Kong as a financial bridge between markets

Hong Kong has traditionally served as an institutional and financial bridge between China, Asia and global markets. For AKTAWA, the city is of strategic interest as a site where:

  • international financial instruments are concentrated,
  • Flexible models of foreign trade financing are being formed,
  • Stable trust relationships are being built between participants in cross-border projects.

During the visit, possible formats for integrating financial solutions with the AKTAWA B2B platform aimed at supporting companies operating or planning to enter the markets of Russia and China were considered.

Results and next steps

Following the meetings, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing partnerships and continuing a dialogue focused on the implementation of specific practical projects. The visit to Hong Kong became an important stage in shaping the financial contour of the AKTAWA ecosystem, complementing trade, logistics and digital directions.

AKTAWA consistently builds an international infrastructure that integrates trade, finance, and digital tools into a single system to support business and cross-border growth.
