AKTAWA on a business mission in Cairo: strengthening cooperation between Russia and Egypt

Cairo, May 29, 2025 — A delegation from the international B2B platform AKTAWA (part of the PKRF Group of Companies) took part in a business mission of Russian companies to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The event was held on May 28-29 in Cairo with the support of the Russian Export Center (REC), as well as Russian and Egyptian business associations.

The visit became part of AKTAWA's systemic strategy to enter the markets of the Middle East and North Africa, develop export potential and strengthen international cooperation.

Maxim Konoplyanikov, founder and CEO of AKTAWA, personally introduced the platform to key players in the Egyptian market, including representatives of large businesses, investment funds, and government agencies.

The strategic importance of the Egyptian market

Egypt is considered by AKTAWA as a strategic partner for the creation of next-generation digital solutions. The platform has already proven its effectiveness in Russia and is ready to offer similar tools to Egyptian companies, from procurement automation to cross—border payments and logistics.

"We see Egypt not just as a sales market, but as a strategic partner for creating next-generation digital solutions. Our platform has already proven its effectiveness in Russia and is ready to bring similar results to Egyptian companies," Maxim Konoplyanikov said during his speech.

Key areas of work within the mission

1. Negotiations and B2B meetings

A series of negotiations were held with Egyptian companies, during which the possibilities of integrating AKTAWA into local projects, including digitalization of supply chains and automation of procurement procedures, were discussed. Meetings were held with investors interested in developing platform solutions for the North African region, as well as a dialogue with government agencies on the prospects for implementing AKTAWA technologies in the Egyptian public sector.

2. Round table at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The AKTAWA delegation participated in a round table discussion on the development of Egypt's digital economy, the potential of the Russian-Egyptian IT partnership, and measures to support startups and technological innovations. Participation in this discussion made it possible to identify the platform's position as a reliable technology partner and outline concrete steps to work together.

3. Presentation of the platform at Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi

AKTAWA experts held a presentation for the Egyptian business community, presenting:

  • Cases of platform implementation in the corporate sector, including industry, logistics and retail;
  • Tools adapted for the Egyptian market — procurement automation, artificial intelligence-based analytics, secure transactions;
  • The strategy of entering the markets of the Middle East and Africa and the role of Egypt in this process.

Achieved results

Based on the results of the business mission:

  • Preliminary agreements have been concluded with Egyptian companies on placement on the platform and pilot projects.;
  • Invitations to participate in two industry forums in 2026 have been received.;
  • Work has begun on adapting the platform's functionality to the specifics of the Egyptian market, including interface localization and integration with local payment services.

Regional development plans

AKTAWA has identified the next steps to scale up its presence in Egypt and North Africa:

  • Opening of a representative office in Cairo by the end of 2025;
  • Participation in key industry exhibitions in the region;
  • Expansion of the partner network in North Africa, including cooperation with financial institutions and logistics operators.

Results and strategic importance

Participation in the business mission confirmed the high interest in the solutions of AKTAWA from the Egyptian business and the government, and also opened up new ways for cooperation. Egypt is becoming a strategically important market for the platform, serving as a gateway to North Africa and the Middle East.

AKTAWA continues to systematically expand its international presence, offering businesses comprehensive digital solutions for global trade, finance and logistics. Stay tuned — there are new markets and projects ahead.
