Carbonic acid diamide is an organic compound with the formula CH₄N₂O. In industry and agriculture, this substance is known as carbamide or urea. The product is synthesized from ammonia and carbon dioxide, producing odorless white or transparent granules. The main active ingredient is nitrogen. Its mass fraction reaches 46%, which makes urea the most concentrated nitrogen fertilizer among its analogues. The granules are completely soluble in water, do not burn, and melt without ignition when heated above 132 °C. Synonyms: carbonic acid urea diamide
