The product is a modern artificial material in the form of cut segments (filaments) made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polypropylene, obtained by extrusion followed by thermal treatment (extraction) to increase strength and adhesion. The fibers are evenly distributed in the matrix of concrete, asphalt or cement mortar, creating a micro-reinforcing effect. The field of application is the dispersed reinforcement of concrete floors, screeds, cellular concrete structures, as well as an additive to asphalt mixtures to increase crack resistance and wear resistance of coatings.
